Enjoy a spectacular opening night of surrealist and culinary musical delights. The renowned Imani Winds are joined by two of the most outstanding singers of their generation. Bass-baritone Ryan McKinny, fresh off his first appearance at Houston Grand Opera, makes his Da Camera debut in Poulenc’s marvelously absurd Le bal masqué. Mesmerizing last season in Vienna 1900: In the Garden of Dreams, soprano Abigail Fischer is Julia Child in Lee Hoiby's comic operatic take on the unflappable chef’s 1970’s television program.
